How to cut, copy and paste information?

You can cut, copy, and paste words and photos, even between applications.
Select:
- Drag grab points to select the text or content to copy, or tap “Select All” to choose everything.
Cut or Copy:
- Select content, tap “Cut” or Copy” and paste the desired location or application

What are the enhanced features in Message of iPhoneOS 3.0?

The enhanced features include :

Does iPhoneOS 3.0 support direct sending and receiving MMS?

After you have upgraded iPhone to OS 3.0, please contact us to activate MMS service for direct sending and receiving MMS.

What is MMS tariff?

It is free to receive MMS. To send MMS to  3-3G or 3-Dualband customer,  “M” will be charged per MMS. To send inter-operator MMS to customer of other local operators, Inter-operator MMS surcharges are waived during promotion period, “M” will be charged per MMS. To send international MMS to customer of operators overseas, M + $3 will be charged per MMS.

[Remarks: To send or receive MMS overseas, additional roaming data charges will be incurred]

What kind of information could be send via MMS?

You can send images, audio, contacts or notes via MMS.

Search
What are the enhancements on Search?

You can search for content across multiple applications. Swipe left from the main Home screen to search for a term, application or content.

You can also search content in a given application using the Search field at the top of the screen. If the search field is not visible, tap the status bar to scroll to the top.

What are the new features in Calendar?
In iPhone OS 3.0, new features of Calendar include
  - Search in List view
  - Support for CAlDAV calendars and subscribed calendars (ICS);
  - Configure CalDAV or ICS in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Add Account > Other
Does iPhone OS3.0 support iCalendar (or ICS)?
iPhone OS 3.0 adds support for the iCalendar, or ICS, calendar format. This format is commonly used for server-based calendars, which are capable of providing over-the-air updates. There are two specific types of ICS support in iPhone OS 3.0:

Subscribed calendars: Calendars hosted on a webpage or calendar server, providing read-only access to events and schedules.

CalDAV calendars: Calendars hosted on a remote server, providing read and/or write access to events and schedules.

Subscription and CalDAV calendars are hosted on remote servers, and like LDAP directories are configured from Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other.

You can record audio memos using a microphone, headset or compatible accessories, and then edit length using “Trim Memo” and share memos via email or MMS.

What are the enhanced features for Maps?
You can tap the location indicator to display “Street View” and address information using reverse geo-coding, and share locations via MMS or email.
 
Notes
What are the enhancements on Memos?
It was enhanced to support landscape mode and search in Memos, and to sync notes via iTunes with Mac OS X Mail , Outlook 2003 or 2007.
   
How to sync notes to email?
iTunes supports syncing notes from the iPhone to your computer using a USB connection. After enabling Notes sync in iTunes, notes appear in supported email applications:
Mac OS X Mail: Choose On My Mac from the Reminders menu
Outlook 2007: Choose Notes from the Go menu
Outlook 2003 and Entourage also support syncing notes

What is Internet Tethering ?
